Spend a semester studying at an English university while exploring the beauty of northern England. In association with the Lasallian International Programs Consortium and Christian Brothers University, you can study during the fall or spring semester at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk, England.
Edge Hill University is a co-educational university of arts and sciences offering a wide variety of study choices. Situated in a charming twelfth century market town in bucolic rural North West England, it is one of Edge Hill's three campuses. There are over 8,000 full-time students with approximately 1,000 campus residents.
Ormskirk is a friendly town with a population of approximately 30,000 people. It is located in the northwest of England, just thirty minutes from the cities of Liverpool, Manchester and Preston that provide varied nightlife, great shopping, a thriving arts scene, and all the attractions of city life. Also close by are the beautiful Lake District, the Yorkshire Moors, and traditional seaside towns in North Wales.
You are required to remain as full-time student while you are at Edge Hill University. This is normally four classes, or modules, of your choosing. Each class/module will usually count as a 3-4 credit courses here at Lewis. You will choose four classes/modules in the many subjects offered at Edge Hill, which include:
- English Literature
- Film Studies
- Geographical Science
- Information Systems
- Sport and Physical Sciences
Students enjoy on-campus accommodations in a single private room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities on each floor and a flexible meal plan allowing up to 12 meals per week on campus.

The program charge includes Lewis tuition, accommodation, meal plan for up to 12 meals per week, airport pickup and return from Manchester International Airport, internet and e-mail access, support of the International Office and a USA Student Liaison Professor, and a mandatory $300 Lewis Study Abroad fee.
The program fee does not include airfare, passport and/or visa fees, additional meals, supplies, and personal expenses.
Program charges are based on costs of the prior year, as well as projections for the current and coming years. Inflation and fluctuating exchange rates make it difficult to state a fixed cost. Lewis University, therefore, reserves the right to adjust program fees and the right to cancel or alter programs and courses.
To be eligible, you must be a Lewis student with at least a 3.0 GPA who has Sophomore, Junior, or first semester Senior standing or will have that standing when you participate.
